Gut Directed Hypnotherapy
Calm your nervous system, heal your gut. Discover the link.
Gut Directed Hypnotherapy is an internationally clinically recognised and proven approach designed to support people experiencing digestive discomfort and ongoing gut-related symptoms.
Through a combination of guided hypnosis, relaxation techniques, and evidence-based therapeutic protocols, the program works with the powerful connection between the brain and the gut, often referred to as the gut-brain axis.
By helping calm the nervous system and reduce the body's stress response, clients can develop a healthier relationship with their digestive system and experience greater comfort, confidence, and wellbeing.
This comprehensive 7-week program follows a structured protocol developed specifically for digestive health.
Each weekly session builds upon the last, guiding you into a deeply relaxed hypnotic state where positive therapeutic suggestions can support changes in how the brain and gut communicate.
Alongside the sessions, you will receive audio recordings to reinforce the process between appointments, helping to strengthen the benefits throughout the program.
7-Week Gut Directed Hypnotherapy Program
The 7-week journey is designed to support individuals experiencing symptoms associated with conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), functional digestive disorders, bloating, abdominal discomfort, and stress-related gut symptoms. By the end of the program, many clients report feeling calmer, more in control of their symptoms, and better equipped to enjoy daily life without their digestive concerns constantly taking centre stage.
Including tailoured Gut Specific hypnosis recordings for you to listen to in your own time between sessions.

"76% of participants experienced a significant improvement in their symptoms" - Miller et al., 2015, clinical study of 1,000 adults with IBS receiving gut-focused hypnotherapy.
Gut Directed Hypnotherapy is supported by decades of international research and is recognised as an effective treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and disorders of the gut-brain axis.
In one of the largest studies conducted to date, Miller et al. (2015) evaluated 1,000 adults with IBS who completed a gut-focused hypnotherapy programme. The researchers found that 76% of participants experienced a significant improvement in their symptoms, with many also reporting reduced abdominal pain, improved quality of life, and lower levels of anxiety and depression.
More recently, a 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis by Adler et al., published in Neurogastroenterology & Motility, reviewed 12 clinical studies involving 1,158 patients and concluded that Gut Directed Hypnotherapy improves overall IBS symptoms and abdominal pain, further supporting its role as an evidence-based treatment for digestive health.
